Jon Flaming

Jon Flaming is a multi-disciplined artist who is a designer, illustrator, and painter. He started Jon Flaming Design in 1993 and has created award-winning design campaigns and illustrations for a number of clients including Neiman Marcus, Milton Bradley, JC Penney, Pizza Hut, FedEx and Pepsi.

Jon's fine art focuses on small town Texas and the Southwest. He is self-taught and works in a number of media, including watercolor, acrylic, oil and found materials. Marsden Hartley, Picasso, Van Gogh, Lee Krasner, Everett Spruce and Otis Dozier are a few of the artists who have influenced Jon's work. A painting by Jon entitled "East Texas Fruit Stand” was recently selected to be included in the permanent collection of the Tyler Museum of Art. His work is also included in many important private collections and has been shown in numerous solo exhibitions. - He has been represented by David Dike Fine Art since 1995 and is part of a group of Texas artists known as “The Texas Five". Jon lives in Texas with his wife, Kathy, and their 3 children, Hannah, Jake, Mary - and a golden retriever named "Honey".

Michael Cangemi

Upon graduating from high school, Michael Cangemi successfully worked as a product design artist for a gift import company. Later, taking a position as a draftsman / geotech in the oil industry he continued to do and sell his own paintings and drawings part time and received an honorable mention for a landscape at the National Artists Seminar in Chicago in1984.

Recent national juried shows in 2000 include the Visual Arts Alliance 17th annual open exhibit, Houston, Texas and the Bosque Conservatory Arts Council 15th annual exhibition, Clifton, Texas. His versatile artistic background also includes some commercial art, cartooning and children's illustration.

Randy Bacon

Randy Bacon has always been attracted to the quality of light, the precise colors and the big skies of his native state.

“When you grow up in West Texas, you have to work a little harder to find the beauty in your surroundings. But it’s there in quiet abundance when you learn to see the extraordinary in the ordinary. It’s a land often caught in a time warp, and I try to capture the timelessness of its isolation.”

In communicating a sense of place, Bacon often draws upon the people and venues of his life to bring about work where past, present and future become blended, where memory and reality connect.

Before returning full time to painting, Bacon was president of Stuart Bacon Advertising and Public Relations in Fort Worth, from 1987 to 2002, a full-service agency he co-founded with Jim Stuart.
